A djembe or jembe is a rope-tuned skin-covered goblet drum played with bare hands, believed to have originated in West Africa.
Our drums are manufactured from a single piece quality dried timber. The skin is natural, authentic goat skin (not synthetic) and the rope is quality 3mm rope for longevity and quality playtime.
Approximate measurements are: 60cm tall x 30cm wide at drum head
This Djembe Bongo Drum has great sound and ready to be played. Suitable for school aged students learning a musical instrument.
Fun facts on Djembe drums: Bongo drums and djembe drums are both designed to be played with your hands and are often made from wood, but they have several key differences: Djembes have a much deeper tone. Djembe drumheads are much looser than bongo drumheads allowing for different techniques. Bongo drums are much more compact than most djembes.
Great percussion instrument for children and adults alike. Please check out our other musical instruments available under seperate listings.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a handmade product from natural materials so may vary slightly in size, colour and shape, it may show signs of imperfection, this is not a fault but that of a natural product. Carvings and markings will alter between each piece being a handmade product.
We have many other musical instruments available also on other listings. We also have other sizes of this drum available under seperate listing as you will see in the photo.
